This study comes at a critical time, as finding new, sustaining revenue sources in the maturing US and Western Europe digital imaging markets has become increasingly difficult. InfoTrends’ latest forecasts project that China and India will represent over 70% of Asia Pacific unit shares for digital cameras in 2014, while smartphone shipments are growing rapidly in Latin America and Mexico. Ed Lee, a Group Director at InfoTrends, stated, “These geographies represent a huge opportunity for vendors.
