Print Buyers Endorse Effectiveness of Wide Format Digital Graphics


InfoTrends projects wide format digital graphics to grow approximately 8% over the next five years. One of the very positive indicators about the health of the wide format digital graphics market is that corporate print buyers reported that they strongly endorse wide format digital graphics as a promotional method. Responding companies mostly rate wide format graphics highly in terms of meeting their objectives. On a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 being “extremely effective”), the average respondent rated the effectiveness of wide format printing with a 3.6 rating. Also, the estimate of effectiveness grows with the number of wide format print purchases made annually.

Furthermore, 80% of the few companies that reported they have invested in digital display systems as an advertising method reported that this did not impact the amount of wide format graphics that they purchased.

This data comes from a recently completed study entitled  WHO BUYS WIDE FORMAT. The study included more than 700 surveys completed by a mix of corporate print buyers, consumers who have bought wide format prints, and wide format digital print services providers.
